The day after we looked for churches, we walked around Makati in search of a reception venue. Mr. Shutterbug wanted one of the big hotels, I warned him it'd be expensive, but we went in anyway. The hotel is grand indeed but it was way way beyond our means. We then went to the Renaissance Hotel, thinking it'd have lower rates, but they were almost the same!
And that was the day we gave up all hope of having our reception in a Makati hotel.
